About Me

My name is Joy and I'm a mom and grandma! I have an amazing family who mean more than the world to me. I have a full-time job building microchips and I work with some of the best people I've ever met. I spend 12 hours a day with my co-workers so they're like a second family to me.

I love making soap, I love learning about making soap and reading about the benefits of the various oils and butters. I find the thought of putting oils, butters and lye together and coming up with an amazing finished product.

I started making cold process soap just before Y2K and continued to do so for several years then stopped when I realized I had made more soap than we could use. In 2017, after learning more about ingredients used to make store bought bath bars/body washes I decided I wanted something more natural for my family’s skin. I started making cold process soap again then decided to try hot process soap. I love both methods for a variety of reasons but I really like the rustic look of the hot process soap I make.
